IAESTE China is proud to announce the sponsorship of the 2004 International Culture Exchange Summer Camp (ICESC). We are offering a unique two weeks experience for all IAESTE trainees who will be coming to China for IAESTE training during this summer. In addition, you will have the option to join one day after-camp-tour to visit Shanghai.
Goals:
1. To promote the mutual understanding among all participating IAESTE students with diversified culture and language backgrounds;
2. To promote the culture exchange between incoming IAESTE students with Chinese student participants.
Through a series well organized cultural exploration and exchange programs, the students will be enriched as they gain an understanding of Chinese culture heritage, traditions, life styles, as well as the knowledge about modern Chinese society. Building friendship among participants is another goal for the Camp.
The Culture Exchange Programs:
In order to immerse students in the true charms of Chinese culture and traditions, the camp will organize a series of activities including city tour, sightseeing, visits to local amusement park and companies. Lectures and social parties will be organized for both culture exchange and language learning purposes. These activities will be educational and challenging, not only will provide a natural opportunity to improve one's language skills, but cultivate the spirit of friendship, networking and cross-culture understandings, and truly encourage an unforgettable experience of fun and excitement.
English / Chinese Language courses:
Language skill is very important for all IAESTE students who participate in oversea training program. With this in mind, IAESTE China will offer all IAESTE students with short Chinese language courses at beginning level. In addition, we will require all students participate in an EduFun Scenario Language course. In this course, the participants will learn and practice both English and Chinese conversation skills in a small class. Students will follow a scenario guide and practice conversation among them. For those who want to be more seniors about language learning, a one to one tutoring lesson will be also provided.
Talent Discovery Courses:
Students can choose different course according to their interests. We provide courses as follows: Chinese Kongfu, Sculpture, Chinese Cooking, Calligraphy, Jewellery Design, Drawing, Dancing, Chorus etc. A final Talent show will be organized in the end of the camp.

1. IAESTE foreign trainees from over 20 countries including Austria, Norway, UK, Brazil, Germany, USA, Finland, Switzerland, Poland, Syria, Greece, Columbia, Iran, Tajikistan, Belgium, Malta, Spain, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan etc.
2. IAESTE Chinese institution students including volunteers, student members and trainees, alumnus etc.
3. Teachers and students from member schools (Primary&Middle Schools) of IAESTE CHINA.
4. Special guests including employer representatives and media reporters etc.
